Industrial Company Cost Avoidance

We have converted many air-cooled units to water-cooled units in high heat areas.

Air-cooled units have operating temperatures from 40-degrees Fahrenheit to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. This causes variation in efficiencies as well as additional breakdowns.

Water-cooled units operate using plant water, which is approximately 60 degree Fahrenheit. This constant temperature allows greater selection of operating refrigerants and also extends the equipment life. This will make the equipment less dependent on plant temperatures and conditions.

This project was undertaken to reduce maintenance breakdown and premature equipment failure.

The maintenance savings have more than offset any additional expenditure for conversion.
